Or house was what they call a “spec” home. I saw great potential in this basic side hall colonial. The home was a 3 bedroom, 1 & ½ bathroom house. It had no back deck or front porch. It soon became a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house.

I mentioned my love for homes in the New England area and another must have feature for me was a front porch. We love having friends over for conversation and drinks and when the kids were younger we had Friday Night Pizza parties on the porch for the neighborhood. It has always been our favorite space in our home.

THe initial front porch was just 5 feet by 5 feet. I then expanded the porch to be 24 feet by 5 feet.
